I WILL aid Law Enforcement Officials whenever possible.

I WILL NOT detect without the landowner’s permission.

I WILL NOT tamper with landowner signs, structural facilities or equipment.

Historical Preservation:

I WILL leave land and vegetation as it was.

I WILL NOT destroy, damage or deface public or private property, historical or archaeological buildings or what is left of ghost towns or deserted structures.

Stewardship:

I WILL leave gates and enclosures as found.

I WILL always conduct myself in a manner that is courteous with consideration for others. (All metal detectorists may be judged by the example I set.)

I WILL remove and properly dispose of all trash and litter that I uncover or find.

I WILL always cover my holes.
